Located near the North Cascades, the Tatoosh Buttes Trail is a somewhat isolated trail that is has very exposed areas due to wildfire activity. In August of 2017, the trail was actually shut down due to wildfire activity. The trail is part of a network of trails in the Pasayten Wilderness. While it can be difficult to navigate the terrain at times, the walk through the fire-swept area is eerily beautiful. Be sure to do plenty of research on trail conditions before taking on this hike.
