Long Draw Hiking Trail

The Long Draw Hiking Trail is an important trail for ambitious hikers looking to travel the length of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Long Draw is categorized as a difficult, 3.5 mile trail. In 2015 the trail had to be shut down due to the Newby Lake Fire. The trail was closed from July 1st up until the first snow of the year. The fire-caused closure was an inconvenience for through-hikers of the PCT, as it's estimated that around 100 hikers were forced to re-route their travels.
