Driving north from Pine Creek Road about 3 miles on Hwy 97, there is a pull off where you can see the area of the northern boundary of the Limebelt Fire. On the west side of the road, just over the hills behind the farm is where the 2015 Limebelt Fire stopped. The farmland below was severely affected by flooding during the spring of 2016. The flooding deposited sand and debris from the hills above, making the ground infertile. The farmer has been unable to utilize his farmland since the fire.
